Have you been avidly checking out the latest "sleeping beauty" trends on TikTok? If you haven't (or you need to have them all in one place), we're here with some inspiration. Join us in spicing up your evening routine so you can finally sleep your way to beauty. You'll love this nighttime ride!

The best nighttime miracles according to TikTok

Help your skin get the most out of the "night shift". Slugging, in other words applying a thick layer of moisturising cream, has been highlighted on TikTok. Try CeraVe Moisturizers hydrating treatment for dry skin or cosmetic Vaseline Original – on their own or as subsequent steps. Your skin will be silky smooth in the morning.

It will do the work for you overnight

Classic cream or hydrogel night face masks are also a great help in sleeping your way to beauty. The Shiseido White Lucent Overnight Cream & Mask night hydrating mask to treat pigment spots, for example, is a total blast. You have to try this!

And we must also remember about night lip care. You should never go to bed without the regenerating fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Recovery Lip Mask. It makes lips perfectly nourished, smoothed and firmed in the morning. Use a little lip gloss, and they'll be ready for the whole day.

TikTok must haves

Proven sleeping hacks worth trying

Sleep hygiene

It all starts in the bedroom. Turn off the harsh light and tune into the pre-sleep vibe with soft LED light with a warm tone. It's also divine to relax by a salt lamp. Before you go to bed, spray Aery Aromatherapy Sleep Happy fragrant spray on your pillow (it's a real must have) and listen to some ASMR, white noise, the sound of the rain, the sea... It will help you achieve a zen state of mind.

Bedtime perfumes

Perfume for the night? Sure! Choose soft fragrances that will lull you to a restful sleep. The top ingredient is definitely lavender, which has a calming and relaxing effect, but also sweet and warm vanilla, which brings a feeling of cosiness and security. Or does a fragrance dominated by white jasmine and lily flowers win the day for you? See what works for you. And if that's too much for your olfactory cells, reach for perfume oil or mist. These are less intensive, but will still put you in the right mood.

Wrap yourself in silk

Silk sleep accessories are a perfect investment in beauty. What do you need (at least according to TikTok)? Well, definitely a silk pillowcase Notino Silk Collection Pillowcase which reduces hair breakage and wrinkles, and prevents your carefully applied skincare from getting "sucked" into the pillow instead of your skin.

Sleeping beauty maniacs also swear by silk headbands and hairbands, and let's not forget about the Notino Silk Collection Hair wrap silk turban which protects against breakage, chafing and electrification.

A silky caress

Sleep wellness

Make sleeping a (almost) spa treatment. So-called weighted blankets, heavy blankets that bring a sense of security and supposedly help reduce stress, are all the rage. Put an aroma diffuser on your bedside table as well, alternate between fragrances and combine them to make them match your bedtime perfumes.

Before you snuggle up under the covers, get in a few minutes of light yoga or stretching. Or download a relaxation app and schedule regular pre-sleep meditation. You'll jump out of bed in the morning feeling reborn!

Brew yourself some sleep

If your sleep isn't good despite perfect beauty care, careful preparation and even silk, there are still two hot TikTok tips you can try. One of them is quite literally hot. It's called Moon Milk. Do you know it? It's hot milk with honey, turmeric and cinnamon. It's apparently a real miracle which has relaxation effects and promotes deep sleep. Another sleep helper praised on social media is magnesium spray. Magnesium supplemented via your skin relaxes muscles, helps you unwind and promotes sleep.

What happens to our skin when we sleep

Did you know that your skin doesn't sleep at night like we do, but works hard to be in top condition in the morning? And what it needs to do that is to get long and uninterrupted sleep. If we don't give it to it, it will give us a bit of a hard time. "During sleep, skin cells naturally regenerate. Skin renews itself and can breathe without makeup and SPF cream," explains skincare and make-up expert Bára Hasonová.

Our tips: Supplement iron and vitamin D. Your quality of sleep will suffer without them. Try food supplements with valerian, magnesium or melatonin.

But other big things happen at night. "When we sleep, levels of the stress hormone cortisol decrease and, conversely, the production of melatonin increases - a hormone that not only makes it easier to fall asleep, but is also a great antioxidant that protects cells against free radicals," adds Bára.

For sleep undisturbed by anything (and anyone)

Night phases of regeneration

9 to 11 p.m.: This is the best time for your skin to absorb all the cosmetics, so don't waste it! Start by cleansing your skin thoroughly (ideally in two stages) and don't forget your skin toner. The so-called double cleansing consists of removing make-up and excess sebum from your skin in the first step with a makeup remover lotion or a cleansing oil. In the second step, a cleansing foam or gel-based cleanser will help you cleanse your skin perfectly.

After the toner, get your greatest weapon out – facial serum. Always finish your evening routine with a nutritious night cream.

11 p.m. to 4 a.m.: Skin works its hardest at this point! New skin cells are being formed, detoxification is taking place and minor damage, such as that caused by the sun or acne, are healing. At the same time, collagen production, which is essential for skin firmness and elasticity, increases significantly. You can kick-start all these regenerative processes even better with a night face mask. Apply it before going to bed and wash it off in the morning after waking up.

This is what your skin craves at night!

When you choose evening and overnight products, look for these ingredients above all:

  • Retinol. It stimulates collagen production, tackles fine lines and wrinkles, evens out skin texture and regulates sebum production. The ultimate superhero! Always use it at night, it's not friends with UV rays. And never forget to wear a high SPF the next day.
  • Bakuchiol. A natural alternative to retinol for those who prefer herbal ingredients. It performs the same way as retinol and does not risk irritating sensitive skin.
  • Vitamin C and vitamin E. This pair of antioxidants fights free radicals and supports your skin’s natural shine.
  • AHA acids and BHA acids. These work as a reliable nighttime exfoliant. In the morning your skin will be as smooth as after a visit to the beautician.
  • Ceramides and hyaluronic acid. A great combination that won't let you down. Ceramides nourish while hyaluronic acid intensely hydrates.
  • Peptides. An ingredient that tones your skin texture and supports its resilience.

Tip: Now that you know which ingredients are the best, you can try the current mega hit - skin cycling. It's not rocket science, just rotate the active ingredients throughout the week. On the first night, exfoliate with AHAs and BHAs, on the second night, retinol for skin renewal, and then hydrate and regenerate with ceramides and niacinamide.

Let your hair also get a good night’s sleep

  • Never go to bed with wet hair. Always dry it, ideally with an ionising hairdryer.
  • Always comb your hair thoroughly with a comb or a flat brush before going to sleep.
  • Massage your scalp with a special massage brush.
  • Treat your hair to a night mask every now and then.
  • Don’t put your hair in a ponytail before going to sleep. Loosely braided hair, held with a silky scrunchie hair band, is ideal. You can also try our highly popular hair curling kit.
