To look great, to feel great
If we were to sum up the body care trends for 2025 in one sentence, it would be: we want more. In all aspects. Among others, we expect that body cosmetics, whether they are bath salts, hand creams, or feet masks, will please not only your skin, but all your senses. On our wish list will be treatments that, thanks to the relaxation components, will transport you to a private wellness centre and evoke pleasant feelings of overall well-being.
No to universality, yes to personalisation
From the neck up, we will fulfil your skin's every wish and search for the best ingredients. When heading "south" though, it doesn't matter that much, your skin will cope. This approach has been slowly changing, and thanks to artificial intelligence and other technologies, body care has become more personalised. Loosely translated: we start to pay more attention to whether skin on our body is dry or irritated, focus on body acne and other problems and adjust the products we use accordingly. Sounds fair, doesn't it?
A-beauty is the new K-beauty
It seems that Korean cosmetics have a new rival. This is because African influences are becoming a big issue in the beauty world. The growing popularity of natural ingredients and the fact that people on this continent have been using them for centuries to beautify their skin are both influencing factors. So not only will African brands appear more often in our bathrooms, but also ingredients that come from there, such as shea butter or baobab and marula oil.
Test the power of African ingredients
Deodorant for the whole body
Some trends will turn your days upside down. Like this one: you probably apply a deodorant or antiperspirant to your underarms. But we all know we perspire in other places, don't we? And the biggest brands on the market such as Dove and Old Spice know this too. They are therefore expanding their range with a new product - deodorants for the whole body. You can spread, spray or do anything else with them on your chest, thighs, feet and intimate parts. A lifesaver for some, a waste of time for others, but one thing is certain: whole-body deodorants are booming.
Pampering the microbiome
Nourishing, strengthening, or skin elasticity? Not the case! When it comes to the benefit we'll want to see most on product boxes in the new year, it's taking care of the microbiome. Think of the whole skin ecosystem, the balance of which is essential for skin's natural defences and helps prevent irritation or acne. This is why we want to pamper our microbiome, and probiotics or prebiotics are becoming the star ingredients of (not only) body creams.
Ethical and packaging-free
We have been aware for a long time that the cosmetics we use do not influence just us, but also the entire planet. And not just a little. Another trend is therefore obvious: the desire to eliminate negative influences. So we will be even more interested in zero waste cosmetics, in their ingredients and how they are sourced or in the philosophy of the brands themselves. And natural, bio and organic cosmetics will be even more popular.
Beauty products directed by nature
Do you know what we love about this year's body care trends? Even if you don't try any of them, at least they will make you think about body care a little differently. And that matters too!
