My new year's resolution? Losing weight and going to bed on time are not on my list. My goal is to step out of my perfume bubble and start experimenting a little. Will you join me? Here's some inspiration to get you started: perfume trends for 2025. This is what #perfumetok and the experts say!

Munching is allowed

In recent years, they have smelled mainly of vanilla and this year nothing much will change - only other "yummies" such as caramel, butter, nuts or chocolate will be added to the recipes for trendy gourmand perfumes. Why has the fragrance world chosen them as the stars? Because they evoke pleasant feelings of warmth and cosiness and nostalgic memories of the desserts of our childhood. But don't expect over-sweetened fragrances that you're overwhelmed by after a few minutes. The "new" gourmand fragrances are coming on the scene, which are lighter and much more sophisticated!

Gourmand fragrances

Year of cherries

The gourmand perfume trend will be followed in the new year by another delicious wave you'll want to ride - cherry. Although you might first think of sweet fragrances reminiscent of lip gloss, cherry perfumes can surprise you. They show depth and smoky notes, go well with woody tones and spices, and cleverly combine elegance with playfulness. And if cherries don't happen to be your thing, don't worry – other fruity fragrances and ingredients such as mango, peach or plum are starting to make their mark.

So many fragrances and options that you just can't choose? Leave it to the Fragrance Finder tool. All you need to do it to navigate it the right way by telling it about your favourite ingredients or perfumes, and it will suggest new potential fragrant loves.

The fragrance of feelings

Have you heard of functional perfumes? If not, you'll be hearing about them a lot in 2025. These are fragrances that are created with the help of artificial intelligence and other new technologies, with a clear goal: to evoke a certain mood. It's no longer just about making a perfume smell good, it's also about making us feel good. And you can use the power of the ingredients to your full advantage when you need a boost of energy, or when you want to calm down and relax.

Forest, ocean, recycling

We want to be as close to nature as possible - this trend is not new, but it is moving forward. On many fronts! We're focusing on sustainable bottle design, and when they're refillable and made of recycled materials, they get extra points. Ingredients matter, and their harvesting should be ethical and ecological. But nature will also be felt in 2025 in the composition itself. Aquatic fragrances evoking the seas and oceans, forest chords or floral fragrances reminiscent of a walk through a blossoming garden come to the fore.

Get in tune with nature

One ingredient to rule them all

Do you have your favourite perfume ingredient which you look for when choosing a perfume? This year you can make it shine and tell the entire world about it. "Single note fragrances" based on one dominant ingredient such as vanilla, jasmine or pepper have certainly been getting noticed. Instead of a cocktail of ingredients you can get a perfume where "your" ingredient plays the main role, and enjoy it to the full.

From hair to toe

If I had to guess what you won't leave home without in the new season, it would be hair or body spray. They'll be everywhere! TikTok and the younger generation in general pay so much attention to them that we can smell new varieties around us all the time, and every brand wants to have their spray on offer. They have one undeniable advantage - lower fragrance content equals a significantly lower price. And this is an opportunity for many of us to experiment and expand our private collection.

Stars among body and hair sprays

One thing is already certain. The new year 2025 will smell intoxicating! What will your fragrance be?
