Composition of the fragrance
In the beginning, your senses will be captivated by the energetic aroma of basil along with gentian. This duo of green notes evokes the breath you need to achieve your goals. Then you’ll be able to feel the power of intense, woody notes of vetiver and cashmeran, flooding your senses like the pure energy you feel when you’re determined to win.
Story of the fragrance
Lacoste Match Point was inspired by the idea that everything is possible and life is a like a beautiful sport. This fragrance represents a new pillar in the Lacoste portfolio, finds new links which connect sport with the rest of your life, and interprets them through its unique composition.
From the first look, you’ll be able to recognise the connection with tennis as an essential inspiration of the fragrance itself as well as the entire brand. The bottom of the bottle is shaped like an imprint left by the decisive match ball and the cap is decorated with a pattern reminiscent of René Lacoste’s tennis racket. White label features a line symbolising the net of a tennis court during a thrilling match.

About the brand Lacoste
Lacoste is a symbol of casual elegance, both in fashion and the world of fragrance. The brand was founded in 1933 by the famous tennis player René Lacoste, and at first focused solely on manufacturing sportswear. The French champion wanted to feel comfortable when playing while also feeling like a gentleman. Relaxation, simplicity and natural elegance are still reflected in Lacoste fashion and Lacoste perfume today.
René Lacoste did not just give the brand its name but also the famous symbol – the green crocodile – which was inspired by his nickname “the Crocodile” given to him by American journalists after his captain in the Davis Cup promised to buy him a crocodile-leather suitcase for winning a match.
The first Lacoste fragrance was launched in 1984, followed by entire perfume ranges for both men and women. Lacoste fragrances for men and women have mostly been inspired by a variety of sports. Lacoste fragrances have been symbols of casual elegance for several decades, making Lacoste one of the most famous fashion brands today.
