Fragrance description Montale Aoud DamascusIngredients
Montale Aoud Damascus is an Oriental fragrance for men and women with distinctive notes of rare oud wood and roses. It is part of the first French perfume line dedicated to rare oud wood, an ingredient with a resinous aroma. This line has been brought to the world by the Montale brand, which is characterised by its love of fragrances from the Orient and Arabia and its interest in their enchanting history. As with all the fragrances from the Montale brand, the greatly admired, yet somewhat enigmatic Pierre Montale has given the Aoud Damascus Eau de Parfum an original character evoking a miraculous elixir or a rare magical salve.
The Aoud Damascus Eau de Parfum constitutes the combination of the fascinating refinement of Arabian oud wood with the wonderful slightly acidic Damascus rose. The composition is exhorted to originality by the special incense and brilliant gurjun balsam. One of the two main aromatic components in the Aoud Damascus Eau de Parfum, the wood of the Aquilaria tree, also known as eagle wood, agarwood, oud, aoud or (in Arabic) oudh, is a fascinating material with a resinous aroma and the most expensive wood in the world, and has been used for centuries to make incense and (especially Arabian) perfumes. This truly regal ingredient, also sometimes called “liquid gold”, creates a popular duet with the unique Damascus rose in the composition of Montale Aoud Damascus.
Aoud Damascus offers a simple and yet complex fragrance. Pierre Montale has created a perfume which masterfully plays with the best of oud wood in combination with the distinctive, delicately sweet and deep Damascus rose, as if the time he spent in Saudi Arabia had imbued the brand’s founder and the creator of all the perfumes in its portfolio with the mysterious abilities of an oriental sorcerer. The two main components in the Aoud Damascus Eau de Parfum are accompanied in the composition by incense, gurjun balsam and safflower.
Like all of Pierre Montale’s fragrant creations, Aoud Damascus has been created using natural materials of the highest quality and in high concentrations which ensure that the fragrance has a long-lasting effect. Thanks to its intoxicating nature, authenticity and depth, Aoud Damascus is a suitable way to light up every day at any time of the year, day or night. Its warmth will be best appreciated in the cold months. It will appeal to men and women who like the combination of the fragrance of oud wood and roses in an original concept. Aoud Damascus should be tried by everybody who appreciates true quality and who likes to feel the breath of the magical history of the Orient upon them.
In addition to magical scents with masterfully balanced aromatic compositions, all the perfumes by Montale also come with captivating, original packaging. The design is enchanting thanks to its straightforward and pure elegance, which, in the case of Aoud Damascus, has been enhanced with the use of a matt metallic gold colour scheme, while the practical selection of the material also makes the flacon unique. Pierre Montale has made the original choice of aluminium, which provides the perfume with perfect protection.
