Composition of the fragrance:
The fragrance opens with a blend of agarwood and slightly smokey benzoin underscored by a note of blackcurrant. They’re soon followed by Bulgarian rose with geranium and juicy raspberry, giving the composition an almost opulent floral character. The base notes include aromatic papyrus, the green notes of birch oil, and smokey incense.

Inspiration for the fragrance: The Desert and the Sown
The story of The Desert and the Sown was written by Gertrude Bell – a British adventurer with an unusual life who explored and described in vivid detail the lands of the Middle East. The maps drawn on her expeditions were later even used to determine the borders of new states. No wonder the world of perfume was inspired by this exceptional woman.

Gertrude rode with the bandits, was held captive in a harem and managed to tell enchanting stories about the local life and philosophy. The oriental composition of the fragrance captures everything from dry desert winds to the travelling bedouins and mysterious sheikhs.
