How to Take Your Kid’s Temperature?

• Oral measuring is usually performed with toddlers and older kids using a contact thermometer you place into the hollow under their tongue. The child should stay completely calm throughout the process. You can also use a baby thermometer in the form of a dummy with a display – this way you can take your kid’s temperature while they’re sleeping.
• Both contact and no-touch thermometers can be used to measure temperature in the ear with very precise results. Wait at least 30 seconds when using a contact thermometer – using a non-contact one only takes a few seconds.
• Forehead temperature measuring is performed with a no-touch thermometer or a forehead contact thermometer you simply place against the forehead for about 15 seconds.
• Armpit measuring uses a contact thermometer for kids and represents a reliable method to use with older children.
