Tutorial: A smoky eye look with graphic elements is not only for a party

If you are missing drama in your life, try it in plain sight. Smoky eye make-up is a real classic, so add a bit of extravagance, and a novel makeup look will be born. It’s not really for those who like the natural look, but sometimes a change is needed.

Although you may think you can't do smokey eyes at home, its actually very simple. All you need is one eyeshadow palette, eye pencil and mascara. All that is left are a few strokes of matte nude lipstick, and you are ready to enjoy your night. Or anything else.

How to make a smoky eye look with graphic elements

1. Even out your face with foundation, cover blemishes with a concealer, and apply powder.

2. Darken the corner of your eye with samoa silk eyeshadow from the MAC Cosmetics Connect In Colour Eye Shadow Palette 12 shades, future flame shade. Then add da da issues eyeshadow.

3. Pat rule eyeshadow from the same palette onto your upper eyelid with your fingertip.

4. Draw a line on both the inner and outer edge of your lower eyelid with the Yves Saint Laurent Dessin du Regard Waterproof eye pencil, brun danger shade. 

5. Use embark eyeshadow from the MAC palette to shade the lower line and stretch it towards your temples.

6. Use golden rule eyeshadow to brighten the lower line at the inner eye corner.

7. Start creating graphic elements with a pointed brush and dark embark eyeshadow. Try, for example, the arch of the eyebrow and a line from the outer crease of the eye to the eyebrow.

8. Complete your make-up with several layers of Lancôme Lash Idôle mascara.

9.Contour your lips with a MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil, subculture shade.

10. Paint your lips with MAC Cosmetics MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick, kinda sexy shade, and feel free to use it for your cheeks instead of a blusher.
