Brown eyes are the most common colour in the world, but there is certainly nothing ordinary about them. Hazel, dark chocolate or with golden flecks, it's never boring with this eye colour. How do you give them that extra sparkle? We'll reveal which makeup suits brown eyes best!

What Eyeshadow Shades to Use for Brown Eyes?

Brown eyes love all colours. Choose eyeshadows in shades of copper, bronze, gold or burgundy to naturally complement the warm undertones of your eyes. If you want to add depth, opt for darker shades like black or dark brown, but don't be afraid to use pastel colours for a fresher look. Blue also looks great on brown eyes.

If you want to add edginess, eyeliner is the way to go. Black eyeliner is a classic, but if you prefer a softer, more natural look, reach for a dark brown eyeliner or grey. Brown eyes also contrast well with a purple eyeliner or blue eyeliner. They add a fresh look and catch people's attention at first glance.

How to Do Makeup for Brown Eyes

Start with a flawless base: foundation, concealer, powder and blusher. If you really want to play with your face makeup, add a bronzer and highlighter.

Step 1

Prime the eyelids with the PRIME LIKE A BOSS essence eyeshadow primer. Your eyeshadow will last longer and the colours will be more intense.

Step 2

Use the greyish brown shade from the Catrice The Dusty Matte palette in the crease and the dark grey shade for the entire eyelid. Brighten the inner corner with the lightest shade.

Step 3

Line the upper lash line and slightly below the lower lashes with the Max Factor Kohl Kajal Liner and blend it out with the darkest shade.

Step 4

Use a pencil to line the inner corner of the eye as well.

Step 5

Apply several coats of L'Oréal Paris Telescopic Lift mascara.

Smoky eye makeup for brown eyes can then be complemented with a nude lipstick, lip gloss or lip balm.
