They don’t just make soaps – they create gifts. Castelbel was born from passion, resilience, and a love of craftsmanship. In 1999, Aquiles Barros, a 26-year-old chemistry professor at the University of Porto, took on the challenge of creating a factory to produce luxury scented soaps for an American brand.

The name Castelbel blends their home in Portugal – Castêlo da Maia – with belleza (beauty), reflecting what we strive to create in everything we do.
