Description GUERLAIN Les Colognes Eau de Cologne Impériale
Ingredients

An absolutely imperial scent. This is the unisex Guerlain Les Colognes Eau de Cologne Impériale, a fragrance full of citrus notes that has a really rich history. This extraordinarily fresh and refined Eau de Cologne was originally created for Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoleon III, and helped her fight migraines.

  • a fresh, citrus fragrance for women and men
  • the fragrance was created in 1853 for Empress Eugénie
  • created by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain

Composition of the fragrance
To begin with, you’ll be able to smell the refreshing citrusy notes of bergamot and juicy lemon. Then this will open out into neroli and petitgrain. The outcome is a perfectly fresh fragrance with a drop of aromatic notes, which give it depth.

Story of the fragrance
Eau de Cologne Impériale is the first Eau de Cologne by the Guerlain perfume house. It was created in 1853 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, tailor-made for Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoleon III. This earned Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain the title of “Perfumer to His Majesty”. At first the empress herself had the sole right to use the fragrance, before authorising its sale. The label of the fragrance features the symbols of Napoleon’s Empire – the eagle, the imperial crown and the sceptre.
