The main benefit is permanent and almost painless hair removal which can be performed at home. Unlike wax strips or epilators, you barely feel the light pulses. What’s more, this technology is much gentler on your skin than regular shaving or epilation creams since it doesn’t involve the physical exfoliation of your skin – leaving it less irritated.  Lastly, in the long term it works out cheaper.
Although the initial outlay is higher, after a few months it definitely pays for itself. Regularly buying high-quality, gentle shavers, replacement heads or wax strips doesn’t come cheap. 

The key to a successful treatment is the contrast between your skin colour and hairs. The greater the colour difference, the better the results you’ll be able to achieve. The IPL technology is therefore most effective on darker hair and lighter skin. Unfortunately, this kind of technology won’t work at all on fair hair.

For long-lasting success, you may sometimes need to repeat the treatment several times since hairs are in varying stages of growth and you need to irradiate all of them. It’s also important to get into a regular routine (at least once every 3 months) to prevent hairs from growing back.
