The opening notes introduce a seemingly mis-matched trio of scents. However, the sweet pineapple, sour lemon, and spicy cardamon go together splendidly well. They’re later replaced by fresh thyme, soothing lavender and freesia. The drydown contains earthy tonka bean, vetiver, and orcanox.

Lalique Noir Premier Terres Aromatiques is an homage to two visionaries. In 1905, the French artist René Lalique met the Corsican perfumer François Coty, and together they established modern perfumery. This fragrance is an evocation of notes typical for Corsica.
