A unisex fragrance to help you discover the perilous world of electronic miracles
Whilst nature is breathing outside our windows, we spend our days in a world of buzzing electronics, a world of ones and zeros. The unisex Amouage Opus V: Woods Symphony Eau de Parfum took its inspiration from the binary world and the co-existence of people and inanimate machines. Its woody aroma with floral notes and an intoxicating whiff of rum evokes the transformative yet perilous power of knowledge.
- a floral woody fragrance inspired by the reality of modern technology
- a unisex Eau de Parfum from the parfumier Jacques Cavallier
- the fragrance, from the year 2011, is part of our Amouage The Library collection
Composition of the fragrance
The fragrance welcomes you with the earthy, almost cooling notes of iris root, which is interwoven with the heady, juicy essence of rum. Gradually, a whiff of pure nature creeps in through the sweet, fresh fragrance of rose and jasmine. You’ll experience a musky, civet aroma mixed with the rich, light nutty accent of agarwood.
Story of the fragrance
Although the Amouage Opus V: Woods Symphony Eau de Parfum bears the name ‘woods symphony’, it actually embodies the forest of electronic components with which we surround ourselves every day. Through this original Eau de Parfum, the parfumier Jacques Cavallier depicts the binary world of black and white digits, data streams and lit-up screens. With this fragrance he tells a very modern story of human society, fragmented by the unprecedented flow of information in cyberspace.
