Ginger oil and rhubarb crackle with citrus‑free zest, hinting at a Caribbean vibe. The line tightens to a vetiver spine built from Vetiver Heart, Haitian vetiver and Java vetiver molecular distillation, delivering clarity, dryness and smoke. It settles into supple leather tones over cedar and patchouli, remaining bright, clean and firmly woody.

Within Masque Milano’s Opera collection, perfumer Fanny Bal composes an ode to vetiver in salute to Ernest Hemingway. Picture El Floridita – a Daiquiri on the counter, Havana heat in the air. No citrus cliché, just ginger’s lemony spark and rhubarb’s tart bite, before a triad of LMR vetivers – almost 60% of the formula – steers the scene into dry woods, smoke and worn leather.
