Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world! That’s what Marilyn Monroe said and she was right. And maybe that line was resonating during the creation of the Good Girl fragrance and its iconic flacon in the shape of an elegant high-heeled shoe. A fragrance which has already been through several editions, it is able to give every woman on the planet that sense of self-confidence and sex appeal, and just maybe suppress the good girl in all of us for a moment. Carolina Herrera also decided to celebrate that strong female energy on the catwalk in New York City with her 2023 Spring/Summer collection.

A fragrance (not just) for good girls

The original Good Girl fragrance was introduced to the market in 2016 and was presented to the world as an elegant shoe in midnight blue with a gold stiletto heel. And its ascent to the pinnacle of the perfume world happened almost instantaneously.

Not that this shoe isn’t magical like Cinderella’s, but what’s hidden within is also magic. A sweet, sensual fragrance blends notes of jasmine, cocoa, tonka beans, almonds and coffee, creating a feminine yet enigmatic bouquet. “We chose all these very different ingredients because we wanted something that represented every different side of a woman — the light, the dark, the masculine, the feminine, the sweet, the naughty,” said Carolina A. Herrera, Beauty Creative Director. “If we as women are so multifaceted, don’t we deserve a fragrance that’s just as rich? That’s Good Girl.”

Which Good Girl is yours?

A celebration of provocative femininity

This same spirit is carried by the newest fashion collection by the creative director Wes Gordon, who recently presented unashamedly romantic models for spring/summer 2023.

Of course, he was accompanied not just by a great creative team, but by all of Carolina Herrera’s good girls on the catwalk itself! Karlie Kloss, Precious Lee, Dilone, Ash Foo and Olivia Vinten. And it’s no coincidence that these very ladies assembled on the catwalk. This fierce fivesome are actually the driving force behind this year’s global campaign for the Good Girl fragrance, which will play out nowhere other than on the streets of New York City. “I'm really excited to be standing alongside these extraordinary Good Girls,” said Karlie Kloss.

They literally embody how unbelievable this fragrance is and compel us to enjoy life to the full. This feeling should also be epitomised by Wes Gordon’s spring collection, which he is presenting using a motif of a garden of visual delights and a kaleidoscope of diverse floral prints.

You will see Karlie in a peony flower print robe and Precious in a strapless dress with a black chiffon tulle trim. Dilone dazzled in a cropped cardigan, sleeveless bustier top and silk Jacquard floral knit pencil skirt. Ash showed off a beautiful corset mini-dress with spaghetti straps in checked tweed and Olivia wore a short-sleeved dress with front pockets in embroidered checked tweed.

Each woman’s multifaceted nature and our light and dark sides are thus reflected not just in each version of the Good Girl fragrance, but in the newest fashion collection. There is something rather liberating about forgetting about the rules and as Carolina Herrera proclaims – “It’s so good to be bad.”
