- This I such an upgrade from my old shaver same brand but this shaves as good as a blade and is quicker. Lobe it just wish had got it earlier, was in sale prior to Christmas so win win. If ya have never shaved with a philips and wish to buy one totally stand by my words no regrets. Case could be a bit more sturdy as just a cloth not good for bumps and bruises. - Excellent shave provided by this unit. Have used only as a dry shaver and have noticed the shaving time is less to get the same close shave . - I didn’t think a battery shaver could give a close shave but this shaver really gives a close shave and the battery life is good just came back off a 2 week holiday and didn’t charge it once . - I can honestly say that the Philips 5000 wetdry shaver gives me the closest shave I’ve ever had with an electric shaver. The shave is very quiet and long use time and quick charging. Ergonomic design makes is comfortable to hold and very easy to clean. I will buy the cleaning doc in the next few weeks. Would definitely recommend this product. I bought the item for £89 in Boots as a special offer but would have paid the full price of £179 with no quibble. Kind regards to all who read this. - Bought a rotary shaver for the first time since the early 80's.
Having used a combination of wet shaving and a Braun shaver over the subsequent years, I am very impressed with the closeness of my shave.
