Choosing the right shade of foundation is never an easy task and becomes twice as difficult when shopping online. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you could consult someone before your purchase? The “Shade Finder” feature allows you to do just that. According to a short questionnaire, it will help you find a foundation shade that’s right for you.

This will help you pick the option that suits you best, blending seamlessly with your natural skin tone. A foundation with the wrong undertone will never blend in perfectly with your skin.

To make your shopping experience even easier and more enjoyable, we have merged Shade Finder with our Try It First service. We’ll simply send a sample of your chosen foundation with your purchase and if it isn’t a perfect match, you can send the unopened product back.

How does it all work?

Step 1:

Choose a photo of a model that has a skin tone similar to yours

Step 2:

Choose your skin tone according to its pink or yellow undertone and the shade of your tan

Step 3:

We will take into consideration the makeup style and foundation coverage and recommend you your perfect shade match

1. Choose your skin tone

Select a model who has a similar skin tone to yours according to the instructional photos. In this case, the colour of your hair and eyes doesn’t play a role; just focus on your skin.

2. Identify your undertone

Every complexion is different, which is why we also distinguish between three different undertones, depending on your skin’s hue.

Cool – pinkish skin tone. Individuals with this skin type do not tan well; they are prone to sunburn and their skin turns red.

Neutral tone without a distinct yellow or pink hue. After skin exposure, the skin gets a natural tan – light brown.

Warm tone with a yellow or orange hue. Skin with a warm undertone gets a dark bronze tan in no time.

3. Tell us what kind of makeup you prefer and we will give you advice on how to work with it

The chosen foundation always matches the specifics of your skin. If we have the chance, we also try to tailor it to your specific makeup style.

Foundations often have different colour intensities. Do you prefer to use a light shade, which you can go over with powder and a bolder blush, or do you go for a darker intensity for a bronzed effect?
