Simple, wearable and make-up supportive, this is exactly what we all love. Make-up artist Asya reveals her tried and tested tips for natural looking makeup. Juicy and radiant!

The devil is in the detail. And that goes double for makeup. All it takes is a little slip up and light make-up can easily become an unsightly mask. I'm going to share with you my tried and tested tips for natural looking make-up without the mask effect. Here we go!

Tip no. 1: Highlighter under foundation

A certain amount of shine goes with healthy, unmade-up skin, which is why overly matte products sometimes looks tired or "dusty". But what if you still want to have high coverage and use a thicker product? Try lightly diluting it with a liquid highlighter or adding a highlighting primer underneath. This way you won't lose coverage, but your skin will look juicy and healthy.

In the video I've used Estée Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance™, but you can use a variety of illuminating foundations. Choose according to your taste and desired shine.

Tip no. 2: Lip primer not just for your lips

Makeup artists all over the world rely on the secret of long-established MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Lip. It is a lip stick base that has an almost waxy texture. It beautifully fills in fine lines and smooths not only the delicate skin of the lips, but also the eye area. So concealer will never creep into your wrinkles again.

Tip no. 3: Try multipurpose make-up

I'm sure you've heard that creamy blusher can be used for your eyelids and lips too. It's just as effective to dab your cheeks with a little lipstick which you are wearing at that moment. But why does it work so well? Because to the human eye, the appearance of the same colour in different places looks harmonious. Take advantage of this and simplify your life - with multipurpose make-up! The NARS Multiple creamy stick is great, and the orgasm shade is also quite versatile.

Tip no. 4: Use a foundation brush

Imagine you've applied foundation, bronzer or concealer and then blusher. But somehow you still see all the products on your face and you want to soften it all up. The solution is simple. For a nice, natural effect without smudges, I recommend taking your foundation brush again and tapping the edges of the bronzer and blusher gently. The products will blend with your skin as well as with each other, and there will be no risk of any sharp lines.

Tip no. 5: Apply powder only in the centre

I've already talked about the natural shine. But it's not always desirable all over your face. So you don't have to throw your powder away, try using it strategically and smartly instead. The preferred placement is at the bridge of the nose, under the eyes and between the eyebrows. Everything else can be left beautifully shiny. I use the silky and transparent Shiseido Synchro Skin Invisible Silk Loose Powder.

Make-up doesn't have to be rocket science. Even a small change can have a great effect. Give these tricks a try, and you'll find that you'll enjoy makeup even more.
