I wanted the bow detail to seamlessly integrate into the structure of the hair, sculpting the bun in a way that mimics the softness of a ribbon."

"Starting with clean, damp hair, I applied Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer from mid-lengths to ends to detangle, hydrate and reduce frizz. Using a brush, I worked the product through thoroughly while gently detangling."  

"With a hair dryer, I rough-dried the hair to remove excess moisture. Then, using a round brush, I created a smooth, polished blow-dry in 2-inch sections.  

Once fully dry, I applied a touch of Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil to the ends for a sleek, polished finish. To prep the hair for the updo, I sprayed Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray throughout to create grit and volume, giving me maximum control while styling."

"I refined the part with a tail comb, then began sculpting the hair into a ribbon-like updo, twisting and shaping it while misting Bumble and bumble Spray de Mode Flexible Hold Spray for a workable hold. Working in sections, I continued to craft the structure, setting each piece as I went.

"First, I split the hair in sections. Next, I sprayed the Bb.Curl Reactivator all over hair while making sure to smooth product in with my fingers. Then, I took a small amount of Bb.Curl Light Defining Cream and ran it through the hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends while making sure to scrunch the curls for definition."

"After, I shookup the Bb.Curl Mousse and applied a golf ball-sized amount, scrunching it into the hair while also using the mousse to finger coil some of the ends. Following that I took a few drops of the Bb.Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil, rubbed it between my hands, and smoothed it over the hair to lock in moisture and add shine."

"Next, I blow-dried the hair using a diffuser and the scrunching method at the same time. Once the hair was completely dry, I finished the hair by lightly misting the Bb. Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray, making sure to scrunch the curls to break up any stiffness so the hair is effortless, has volume and texture."
