About the brand Carmex
Carmex produces great protective lip sticks and balms. Dry, chapped lips trouble a large part of the population. Carmex has traditional, globally popular products for the battle against dehydration, the sun, cold, and other inclement weather.
The American Alfred Woelbing began the brand when he started experimenting with his own line of lip balms and other cosmetic products back in 1930. His kitchen served as a laboratory and he sold his first products from his car boot. The popularity of these effective products increased quickly. An important step was the moment Woelbing and his wife began to pour and sell the products in the familiar yellow tub. In 1957, the family business moved to manufacturing premises in Milwaukee. The next stage of the company’s development began when their son Don started in the 1970s, followed by the subsequent involvement of their grandchildren. Alfred Woelbing himself lived to be 100 years old and it is said that he went into the company office at least once a week to oversee the development of the family brand until his death.
