Composition of the fragrance
The citrus opening comprises freshly sweet bergamot and orange, accompanied by green and bitter notes of petitgrain. Delicate rose and ylang-ylang contrast with the masculine accord of lavender and geranium. The base of nutmeg and woody notes adds warmth to the composition, while cedar and vetiver add a masculine edge.
Story of the fragrance:
No 89 takes its name from the number of the Floris shop in London. This makes the fragrance a proud symbol of the birth and history of Floris London. One of the many devoted wearers of No 89 was Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond. And we can only speculate as to whether Agent 007 himself would consider it as his signature scent. This incredible fragrance was launched in 1951 and continues to be the holy grail of countless men to this day.
