Composition of the fragrance
This sparkling, delicious, and refreshing composition opens with an invigorating deluge of bergamot, lemon, and grapefruit. The cocktail of Calabrian citruses then transforms into the essences of freshly cut freesia, rose, and jasmine. The addictive base of this Eau de Toilette will surround you with notes of white musk, iris, and vanilla.
Story of the fragrance
A long time ago (four centuries, to be precise), a boundless love developed between two people in India. The emperor Shah Jahan loved his wife, the princess Mumtaz Mahal, so much that he created the opulent Shalimar gardens where they could spend time together. This beautiful story later inspired Jacques Guerlain to design the iconic Guerlain Shalimar. Its new interpretation Shalimar Cologne was conceived by Thierry Wasser.
