Marc Jacobs

As a famous trend-setter and a visionary, Marc Jacobs has a spot not only among the most influential fashion designers, but the most influential people in the world in general. According to Victoria Beckham, the secret to his success is the willingness not to adhere to norms and to go against the flow. “He has never followed fashion or trends; he follows his heart and sets trends. He changes how we see fashion with each collection he shows. His aesthetic is like no other.”

Marc Jacobs was born in 1963 in New York. After attending the High School of Art and Design, he went to study at Parsons School of Design. While there, he sold his first collection of hand-knitted sweaters which also earned him a prestigious designer award. In 1987 he became the youngest fashion designer in the world to receive an award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Today, you can find the Marc Jacobs boutiques in France, Mexico, Japan, China and many other countries.
