- Firstly it’s a lovely subtle scent. In terms of performance vs price it doesn’t make sense. For a similar price you can get Tom Ford D’Ombre Leather which is far greater in quality & intensity. - What a great perfume. Bought it based on online reviews and I must say, I haven’t regretted. A little mild on initial application but give it a brief moment and you’re gonna have that intense sweet smell. - A timeless classic. This one will never get old. A powdery Iris blended to perfection. - Classy looking bottle filled with a classy fragrance. - Honestly a fantastic scent, the iris in this fragrance is beautiful and the way the vanilla is merged is sensational. very long lasting and has a fantastic sillage. - Wrong pictures on the main site. This is the newest 2020 version with the different cap which I’ve had previously and is now a shadow of its former self. Lacking in what made DHI Special. Such a shame so this will be getting returned unfortunately .Dale23 April 2020Was this review helpful?|
- Quite a simple, rectangule, dark glass bottle, which goes well with several of my other fragrances.
Longevity. Two or three sprays of this last a whole day on me. I find my nose gets used to it if I don't change my surroundings, but if I go outside or work up a sweat, the fragrance re-appears.
Intensity. This starts off failry intense but soon hides away (or as I said I get used to it), and re-appears from time to time to make me aware its still there. Its subtle in a good way. Not too overpowering imo.
Overall. I bought this after seeing it in the wardrobe of a, basenotes, forum user who I have a similar tastes to. At first it came across as very powdery, as everyone describes, but I found after a couple of wears that aspect seems to have disappeared and its only gotten better!
