Get to know the independent, unpredictable spirit of the fashionable YSL prêt-à-porter collections through this exceptional fragrance. The Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Eau de Toilette for women is inspired by the French avant-garde and will fill your veins with the bohemian spirit.
- a classic aldehyde fragrance with floral-woody tones
- inspired by the French avant-garde
- epitomises independence and unpredictability
Composition of the fragrance:
The opening notes of rose are complemented by sparkling, radiant bergamot which will refresh your mind. However, the queen of flowers cannot completely hide her mood swings, standing out for her unpredictability and the ever-changing nuances in her scent. Further unexpected twists in this fragrance come in the form of oakmoss, vetiver and musk. These ingredients quickly take control and dominate, making for a truly quixotic conclusion.
Story of the fragrance:
The Rive Gauche fragrance is named after the southern part of Paris, just like the YSL boutiques with their ready-to-wear fashion. This district, located on the left bank of the River Seine, is characterised by bohemianism and a high concentration of schools and artists. The fragrance was first launched in 1971, created by the perfumers Michael Hy and Jacques Polge. In 2003, the composition of the fragrance was updated into its current form by Daniela Andrier and Jacques Hy.
The cobalt blue glass and metallic flacon is instantly recognisable for its iconic shape. It was designed by the artist Pierre Dinaud.
