Composition of the fragrance:
First, your senses will be stunned and confused by the earthy notes of cypriol, patchouli and cedar. Next you’ll experience the heart of this opulent Eau de Parfum – the marriage of rich agarwood and warming Madagascan vanilla, which together create a refined and appealing contrast. In the base notes, this fragrance hides all its secrets in the form of sweet, woody castoreum, birch, amber and guaiac wood.
Story of the fragrance:
The Amouage Opus XIII: Silver Oud Eau de Parfum was inspired by the famous novel ‘The Red and the Black’ by Stendhal and is the embodiment in a fragrance of this classic piece of French literature and its intelligent and ambitious protagonist, Julien Sorel. The parfumier Cécile Zakrokian brings together the themes of Confusion, Passion and Destruction and pits thought and feeling, two eternal opposites which cannot exist separately, against one another.
