Products with azelaic acid
Azelaic acid is a popular ingredient in medicine and dermatology and its use is truly extensive. It is completely safe, suitable for long-term application on all skin types, easily excreted from the body and, despite its origin, gluten-free.
In commonly available beauty products for problem and oily skin, the beneficial azelaic acid is therefore present, in lower concentrations. You can buy it in the form of nourishing creams, serums or products for cleansing the skin, for both day and night use, all with azelaic acid.
Other product ingredients such as AHAs and BHAs, retinol and other substances are very well tolerated by azelaic acid and, in the treatment of acne and other skin problems, they can be combined to enhance the overall effect. The only disadvantage is that azelaic acid does not affect hormonal acne, in the case of which we recommend consulting a dermatologist.
After using azelaic acid serum, cream or other products, you must always protect your skin against the sun, so be sure to apply a protective cream with SPF in the morning. The first effects of azelaic acid start to appear after a few weeks, so be patient and your skin will reward you.
