The French term fougère refers to a category of fern fragrances that are mainly popular with men. What is typical of fougère fragrances is their sensual combination of moss and freshly cut grass (or coumarin), together with lavender, leather or herbs.
This category takes its name from the legendary 1882 perfume by Houbignant, Fougère Royale, in which a combination of coumarin, lavender, sage and bergamot was first used. This fougère perfume gave direction to the whole family of fougère fragrances, which can now be divided into fresh fougère fragrances with spicy aromas, floral fougère fragrances enriched with neroli or orange blossom, and woody fougère fragrances with notes of precious woods or sweet amber.
Enrich your perfume collection with a scent that has fresh plant notes with fern base notes and is suitable for everyday use and for special occasions.
