A Little Bit of Science
Do you wear perfume to impress other people? Maybe it’s time to change your approach and start wearing what smells good to you. According to one study, 75% of the emotions we feel during the day are influenced by our sense of smell. Scents have such a huge impact on us because our sense of smell is closely linked to the limbic system, the emotional centre of the brain. Unlike other sensory perceptions, scents are “sent” directly to the brain, meaning they are able to evoke more intense emotions.
A Citrus Pick-me-up
If everything takes you twice as long in the morning and you can’t even rely on caffeine to fix it, try the perfume route. There are ingredients you can look for to give you enough energy for the entire morning (at least) and give you a refreshing boost. Our tip? Citrus all the way!
