Got a wedding coming up? Want a style that’s timeless and never goes out of style? Try a classic that embodies elegance, sophistication and grace. It boosts your natural beauty and suits everyone.

Bridal eye makeup in earthy shades of brown or grey, eyeliner and perfect skin, complete with smooth Hollywood waves. Nothing wild, just simplicity and precision application.

Classic makeup for a wedding

  1. Start with perfect skin prep. Be sure to use a high-quality serum and cream, and if you’re having an outdoor wedding in sunny weather, add a lightweight, non-greasy sun cream. You can also use a primer for your face and underneath your eyeshadow
  2. Even out your skin tone with foundation that can withstand touch and tears. The Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place is perfect for this. Work it in with a brush or sponge. Cover any imperfections with a concealer and then apply powder.
  3. Highlight the contours lightly with a bronzer, use a blusher to add colour to your cheeks, and don’t forget about highlighter. For truly long-lasting makeup, you can layer two textures on top of each other, such as a cream blusher that absorbs into the skin nicely, followed by a powder version that sets it in place. The same applies with a bronzer and highlighter.
  4. Use eyeshadow to accentuate your eyes. You can also try a smoky eye look for a wedding. The Urban Decay Naked2 Basics is ideal for this. Use the lightest shade of eyeshadow to even out the entire lid colour and the darkest shadow to highlight the crease of the eye, the lower lid and the outer corner, and blend in everything nicely.
  5. Add eyeliner and several coats of the Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Waterproof mascara
  6. Colour your lips using the MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in the subculture shade and the MAC Cosmetics Cremesheen Lipstick in cream your coffee.
What classic bridal makeup to go for

Classic wedding hair

For your wedding hair, you can opt perhaps for a simple bun, or smooth Hollywood waves combed to the side. Try not to touch it during the day so that it doesn’t lose its shape unnecessarily. Don’t forget about heat protection, which will also guarantee a style that lasts longer. Curl your hair with a curler or straighteners in one direction away from the face, then go through it with a brush or wide-toothed comb to merge the waves together. Set the resulting style with hairspray.
