Many of the best-known fashion houses were founded in Italy, so it’s no wonder that Italians are renowned for their sense of style. This is recorded unmistakably in fresh and luxurious Italian perfumes that capture the Italian penchant for vitality and the baroque.

Italian perfumes have a long tradition. Venice, which was the centre of the trade in precious spices and fragrant oils from the Orient, became the natural place for the early creation of perfumes. The first eau de cologne was created in 1709 in Cologne, but its creator was the Italian Giovanni Maria Farina.
