- pH neutral, so that they don’t interfere with the skin’s delicate pH level (4.5–5.5).
- Free of sulphates (SLS, SLES) that can dry out sensitive skin.
- Fragrance-free or with a mild fragrance designed specifically for children’s skin.

A baby’s skin is very thin and sensitive, with a very weak protective barrier. It is susceptible to dehydration, irritation and redness and also has a higher natural pH level than normal skin.
What must a baby bath wash fulfil?
- A hypoallergenic formula without fragrances, colouring, sulphates or any other potentially irritating ingredients.
- A neutral or slightly acidic pH.
- Sensitive skin must get plenty of hydration – suitable ingredients once again include glycerine, panthenol and also vitamin E or lactic acid.
- It is a product designed specifically for babies.
